Can I buy something right now on this website?
No. This website takes order requests. You send what you want, I reply with a price and a pickup time, and you pay at pickup or by a payment link I send you.
How do I pay?
50% of the total is due once I confirm your order, which holds your pickup date — I send a secure payment link by email for that. The rest is due at pickup, by card or cash on a Square reader, or through the same payment link if you would rather pay it all ahead.
Do you deliver or ship?
No. Washington cottage food rules require me to hand the order to you in person, so everything is pickup in Tacoma, WA.
How much notice do you need?
At least 168 hours for custom orders, and more for decorated cakes during busy weeks. If your date is sooner than that, email me and ask. Sometimes I have room.
What does the home kitchen notice mean?
Washington licenses home bakers through a cottage food permit. The state inspects the permit and the recipes but does not inspect the kitchen the way it inspects a restaurant, so every seller has to say so plainly. My permit is current and my ingredients are labeled.
Can you make something gluten free or nut free?
I can leave ingredients out, but I cannot promise an allergen-free kitchen, because wheat, dairy, eggs and nuts are all in use. Tell me about the allergy in your order request and I will be straight with you about the risk.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Yes, up until I start baking. Email me as early as you can. If you have already paid and I have not started, I refund the whole amount.
Do you do wedding cakes?
Small ones, for gatherings of about 40 people or fewer. Send a request with your date and I will tell you honestly whether I can do it well.
